You should first lodge the complaint with the health facility either verbally or in writing and they will follow the protocols in place to manage the complaint. 


If you or a loved one has received treatment that is not according to service standards at a public health facility in the Republic of South Africa, complained and not heard back, we want to hear about it! 

 


The DoH Facility Complaints App is available on both the Google Play Store  and  iOS App Store. 

Once signed in, you can log a complaint and track the status of your complaint. 


You can also refer your complaint to the Ombudsman in the Office of Health Standards and Compliance (OHSC).
