To know if you have TB, you need to go to the clinic for a TB test.

The health worker will ask you to give a snot sample for testing (also called phlegm or mucus). Usually a sputum sample (phlegm) is coughed into a container and then tested for TB. The results should take around 2 days to come back.

You may also need to have a second test or a chest X-ray.

TB tests and treatment are FREE in public health facilities
