Feelings of inadequacy in new mothers are very common. There is a stigma attached to it where people feel afraid to express their worries and fears. 

  • It is important for new moms to talk about their feelings and troubles to trusted health workers, family, friends, or community members. Doing this can go a long way to making new moms feel healthier, both physically and emotionally.  
  • Moms should take time to rest and have some me-time, doing an activity that they enjoy. It’s important to remember that your baby knows you very well and learns about the world through you. Your mood and feelings have an impact on your baby.
