A person can get a TB infection but not get sick from it. This is called a latent TB infection.

There is free treatment for latent TB infection at the public health facilities if you:

• are HIV positive

• have Silicosis

• are a healthcare worker

• are a contact of someone with TB

You cannot get treatment for latent TB if you have certain health conditions that the healthcare worker will ask you about.

You can go to your nearest public health facility for more information.
