Research show that children spend less time playing than they used to. Stress, busy lifestyles, urbanization, safety concerns, academic pressure – all put pressure on the time and space children have available for playing.

Children also spend more time now watching TV (or playing screen games) than playing as they used to.

As play is now becoming understood as an essential element in developing children intellectually and creatively, parents and caregivers have to find the time and space to make time for children to play freely.
