Much more is known today about how HIV is transmitted or passed from one person to another and what we can do to protect ourselves and our children and much has been done by the medical profession to develop better treatments and by the South African government in making these treatments available through clinics and hospitals. The treatments can now support HIV positive people to remain healthy and live normal happy lives for longer.

However, it is still a disease that we must worry about and make sure that we do not contract it or pass it on to others.

Currently 1 in 4 South Africans is HIV positive, so we cannot let our guard down against this disease and we do NOT want it to spread, as there is no cure for HIV/AIDS.
