Yes! This is very normal. Your body will begin menstruating when it's ready. Try not to worry - it will happen eventually! Some girls get their first period as early as 8 to 9 years old, while others may not start until 16 years old or even later. 

If you don't get your period by age 16, it's a good idea to talk to your healthcare provider to rule out any medical conditions.
