Menopause is when a women’s periods stop for good. It usually happens when she is in her late 40s or early 50s. Some signs it's coming are hot flushes, trouble sleeping, and mood swings.

The reason it happens is cause a women’s eggs run out, and her body makes less of the hormones estrogen and progesterone. No more eggs mean no more periods.

Some women have it rough during menopause. The hormone changes can make them feel emotional or irritated easily. Things like exercise, avoiding alcohol and smokes, and speaking to a healthcare
provider can help them feel better. There are also medications to relieve symptoms.
